Clove oil relieves pain

Clove is a traditional ingredient used to relieve many ailments, the main chemical component of this spice is eugenol, which has natural astringent properties. However, clove oil should be used with caution. Applying the oil to the tooth where it hurts can actually make the pain worse if your gum or tongue tissues are sensitive. Alternatively, put two drops of clove oil on a cotton ball and leave it on the affected tooth until the pain subsides.

Make ginger and red chili paste
Take equal amounts of ginger and crushed red chilies and add enough water to make a paste. Now make a small ball of cotton and smear it with the paste and then apply it on your tooth. Leave this cotton on until the pain subsides or until it rests on the affected area. You can also use both of them separately as they have pain-relieving properties.
Rinse the buds with salted water
Dissolve a teaspoon of salt in a cup of warm water to make a pain-relieving mouthwash that will help reduce inflammation by cleaning away the debris that causes discomfort. Fill this salted water in your mouth and shake it well for thirty seconds and then spit it out. Repeat this process as needed or as long as the pain subsides.
Relax with tea
Peppermint tea tastes good and has the power to numb the painful area. Add a teaspoon of dry mint leaves to a cup of hot water and steep for twenty minutes, when the tea cools, swish it around in your mouth and then spit or swallow. In addition, dried common tea leaves can also help reduce inflammation and pain. For this you can get temporary relief by applying a warm and wet tea bag on the affected area for some time.
Ice is also beneficial
Place a small ice cube in a bag and then wrap a thin cloth around the bag and keep it on the painful tooth for fifteen minutes to numb the nerves. Apart from this, another interesting method of pain relief is massaging your hand with an ice cube, which reduces toothache. In fact, when your fingers send a cold signal to the brain, it suppresses pain signals from the tooth.
Hydrogen peroxide
Rinse with a hydrogen peroxide solution to kill bacteria and reduce discomfort. This gives temporary relief from toothache but only for a while after which you need to consult a doctor. Mixing this solution with plain water and using it as a gargle is beneficial.
Vinegar and brown paper
Another great way to reduce toothache is to soak a small piece of brown paper in vinegar, then sprinkle black pepper on one side and then press it against the cheek. The feeling of warmth created by the cheek will reduce the pain by distracting the mind from the toothache.
Use of chewing gum for dental cavities
If you have a broken tooth or a filling has come out, you can fill the affected area with soft chewing gum to reduce pain. This can reduce the pain by filling the gap and leaving the chewing gum in place until you see a doctor.
Pressure is the best method
Toothache can also be stopped very quickly by using acupressure technique. Press your thumb on the back of your other hand for two minutes where your thumb and forefinger meet. This will release endorphins, a chemical that is thought to induce euphoria.
